Rajeev Madhavan

Rajeev Madhavan is the Founder and General Partner at Clear Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage technology investments. Prior to his venture capital career, he co-founded and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Magma Design Automation from 1997 until its $580 million acquisition by Synopsys in 2012. He also co-founded Ambit Design Systems, serving as President and Chief Executive Officer until Cadence acquired the business for $280 million in 1998. Earlier in his career, he was a co-founder and Director of Engineering at LogicVision, and he holds engineering degrees from NIT Karnataka and Queen's University. As an active venture investor, he has backed more than 35 companies, leveraging his operational expertise in product definition, recruiting, and sales acceleration. Madhavan currently focuses on scaling software-oriented technology startups and electronic design automation infrastructure for semiconductors.
