Richard Socher

Richard Socher is the CEO and Founder of You.com and the Managing Partner of AIX Ventures, based in Stanford, California. He previously served as Chief Scientist and Executive Vice President at Salesforce, directing a team of over 520 employees after they acquired his artificial intelligence startup, MetaMind, in 2016. Through his $50 million AIX Ventures fund and personal angel investments, he has backed more than 30 startups and 16 funds, including notable companies like HuggingFace and Weights and Biases. He earned his computer science doctorate from Stanford University in 2014 and later served as an adjunct professor, focusing his research on natural language processing and deep learning. Recognized on the Time100 AI list and as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, he continues advancing machine learning technologies while mentoring early stage artificial intelligence enterprises.
