Archangel Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm that provides initial capital, network access, and strategic support to pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups, operating primarily out of Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. The firm functions as a sector-agnostic investor, though it directs the majority of its capital toward high-growth Australian companies operating within the business-to-business software, financial technology, and deep technology industries. Generating revenue through standard management fees and carried interest on successful investments, the organization officially launched its operations by closing a $20 million initial seed fund in mid-2021. To continue capitalizing on early-stage deal flow amid record capital allocations to later-stage venture firms, the entity is currently in the process of raising a second fund targeting $40 million. Archangel Ventures was established in 2020 by founding partners Ben Armstrong, Rayn Ong, and Quentin Wallace.
